Community Meetings and Upcoming Engagement Opportunities

Hi Neighbors,

I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend. The ANC has launched a new website — please bookmark it for updates, meeting information, and upcoming events: https://anc3g.dc.gov/

We will have an ANC meeting tonight from 7:00–9:00 PM. You can find the meeting link and agenda details here: https://anc3g.dc.gov/event/anc-34g-virtual-meeting-2

Your Participation is Needed: Upcoming Events

DC 2050

The DC Office of Planning (OP) invites residents to help shape the future of neighborhood planning in the District. Community input will help strengthen how the Comprehensive Plan and small area plans guide neighborhood development across DC.

Residents can participate in the DC 2050 survey through June 7. The survey can be accessed here in the section titled “DC 2050 Explore Possible Futures Virtual Workshop.” Learn more and access the survey here: https://dc2050.dc.gov/

Chevy Chase Civic Core Project

The ANC will host a meeting with the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), DC Public Library (DCPL), Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), and Rift Valley on June 4. Additional details will be shared closer to the meeting date.

DCPL and DPR also invite residents to the Community Center Design Kick Off for the new Chevy Chase Library and Community Center on Tuesday, June 9, from 6:30–8:30 PM at the Chevy Chase Neighborhood Library.

Community members will have the opportunity to meet the design team, learn about the project, and share ideas for programs, services, and features they would like to see in the new facility. The event will also include remarks from DCPL Director Richard Reyes-Gavilan and DPR Director Delano Hunter Freeman, along with a discussion of modern approaches to library and recreation center design.

Additional engagement opportunities — including surveys, focus groups, and pop-up events — will continue throughout summer and fall 2026. Learn more here: https://dclibrary.libnet.info/event/16561525

Ranked Choice Voting

The DC Board of Elections is hosting webinars to help residents learn how Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) will work ahead of the 2026 elections. These sessions are an opportunity to practice the new voting process, ask questions, and become more familiar with ranking candidates on the ballot.

You can review upcoming webinar dates and registration information here: https://dcboe.org/rcv
