My Platform
Working with Residents. Building Community. Delivering Results.
It has been an honor to serve as your ANC Commissioner. I believe effective local leadership starts with listening to residents, communicating clearly, bringing people together, and following through.
As I look ahead, my vision is for a connected, inclusive, safe, and thriving Chevy Chase where residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape our neighborhood.
Here are the priorities I will continue to champion:
1. Responsive & Accountable Leadership
Residents deserve a Commissioner who listens, communicates, and follows through.
I will continue to:
Provide timely, accurate, and accessible information about issues affecting our neighborhood, listen to residents and respond to constituent concerns, help residents navigate District agencies and access city services and resources, communicate clearly about ANC decisions, neighborhood projects, public meetings, and opportunities for community input, and promote transparency, accountability, and meaningful resident participation.
My commitment: To remain a trusted, reliable, and accessible resource for the residents of Chevy Chase.
2. Safer Streets & Better Transportation
Safe streets are essential to a strong neighborhood. I will continue advocating for practical transportation improvements that make it safer and easier for residents to walk, bike, drive, and use public transportation.
I will work to:
Improve pedestrian safety at intersections and crosswalks, support appropriate traffic-calming measures, continue advocating for safety improvements along Connecticut Avenue, work with DDOT and other District agencies to address dangerous intersections and traffic concerns, and keep residents informed about proposed transportation projects and provide opportunities for community input.
My commitment: To advocate for transportation solutions that prioritize safety, accessibility, and the needs of our community.
3. Thoughtful Development & a Strong Civic Core
Chevy Chase is changing, and we have an opportunity to shape that change thoughtfully.
I support development that respects our neighborhood while meeting the needs of current and future residents. The Chevy Chase Civic Core is an important part of that future.
I will continue to:
Ensure residents have meaningful opportunities to participate in planning and development decisions, advocate for thoughtful housing, library, community center, and public-space improvements, encourage transparency and clear communication throughout major development projects, support a Civic Core that is welcoming, accessible, and responsive to community needs, and support thoughtful development that reflects community needs and creates a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable future for Chevy Chase.
My commitment: To make sure Chevy Chase residents have a meaningful voice as our community evolves.
4. Reliable Neighborhood Services
The quality of everyday city services matters.
I will continue working with District agencies to address concerns involving:
Trash and recycling collection, leaf pickup and snow removal, infrastructure projects, street and sidewalk conditions, public spaces and neighborhood maintenance, and other services that directly affect residents' quality of life. When residents bring an issue forward, I believe they deserve a response and, whenever possible, follow-through.
My commitment: To work with District agencies to help ensure residents receive the services they deserve.
5. A Sustainable & Connected Community
A thriving neighborhood is more than infrastructure and city services. It is also about the connections we build with one another and the environment we share. A strong community is built by people who know one another, look out for one another, and have opportunities to come together. I want to continue creating opportunities for residents to connect, participate, share ideas, and build relationships that strengthen Chevy Chase.
My commitment: To bring residents together, strengthen connections across our community, and create meaningful opportunities for neighbors to engage, participate, and build a stronger sense of community.
I am optimistic about the future of our community. My vision is for a Chevy Chase that preserves the qualities that make our neighborhood special while embracing opportunities to grow and improve. I will continue working toward a community that is:
Connected — where residents are informed, engaged, and able to participate.
Inclusive — where every resident has an opportunity to be heard and feel welcome.
Safe — with streets, public spaces, and neighborhood infrastructure that support the well-being of our community.
Thriving — with strong community institutions, vibrant public spaces, reliable services, and opportunities for residents to connect.
Let's Keep Working Together
The work of building a stronger community does not happen alone. It happens when residents, community organizations, businesses, and District agencies work together.
I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I look forward to continuing that work.
Working with Residents. Building Community. Delivering Results.
I would be honored to earn your support and your vote for reelection.
