Next week, many people will gather with loved ones to reflect and give thanks. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of you. The DC Public Service Commission is hosting free weatherization giveaways this December to help residents prepare for the cold. Pick up supplies like draft stoppers, window insulation kits, rubber seals, and other energy-saving resources at select neighborhood libraries. Turkeypalooza is back! Washington Nationals Philanthropies will distribute free Thanksgiving meal kits—including a fresh turkey and holiday staples—at six locations from Nov. 24–27. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to a Ward 3 public workshop for the Strategic Bikeways Plan project. This in-person workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 10 from 6p to 8p at UDC at 4000 Connecticut Avenue NW The project team will be presenting results from its evaluation of existing conditions and will be inviting community members and stakeholders to share feedback on the project team’s work to date, bicycle transportation needs, safety concerns, key gaps in the bicycle network, potential project ideas, and other local considerations.
